A hotel brand under the Marriott Company, Courtyard by Marriott falls under the mid-range hotels category intended for business travelers as well as families on a holiday. This Marriott brand competes with other hotels in the same level and niche market, such as Hinton Garden Inn.
During the early 1980s, Marriott has troubles in finding the right brands that will accommodate services for the family.
