About LUX Island Resorts Brand Hotels

LUX Islands Resorts is a sub-brand of the company LUX Resorts & Hotels, which is based in Mauritius. It was founded in 1985 by a group of Mauritian investors, as Naiade Resorts. In 2011, it was rebranded as LUX Resorts & Hotels and a new CEO was appointed, and it was Paul Jones who already had a name for himself from the One&Only brand. Now, the company has changed its style under his reign. It is now less rigid on the luxury design. It has introduced “real” coffee resto-styled ice cream parlors, on-the-beach film screenings, pop-up restaurants, red vintage telephone boxes that actually work, and a fresh wellness & spa programs.

 

There are over 1 million tourists in Mauritius every year, mainly from Europe, which is a big travel market. This prompted LUX Island Resorts to increase their targets in the said continent, also increasing reaches in the other continents but in a prioritized way.
