Founded in 1999 under leaders with 30 years of experience in the hotelier industry, the brand is currently one of the leading companies in the United States that manages hotels and resorts.
The hotel brand is now currently being overseen and managed by one of the co-founders of the company and former Chief Investment Officer Warren Q. Fields. The company currently had a transition last June 2019 after co-founder Richard M. Keller passed on his day to day activities to Fields. Kelleher currently holds the Chairman of the Board position of the company.
During the early years of Pyramid Hotels as a company, the group managed to develop 3 Residence Inn and manages assets of $800 million in hotel properties during its first year of conception. By 2015, the group managed to established presence in Europe. The group was already managing 78 hotels in the U.S., U.K., Ireland and the Carribean by 2011. Last 2016, Pyramid hotels acquired Winegardner & Hammons Hotel Group and tapped into the distribution of talent and employees in several mid-range hotels in the United States.
