Ada Arts and Heritage Center is included on the National Register of Historic Places under its first name, “Ada Public Library.” Established in 1939, the center is the former public library of Ada, Oklahoma. When it couldn’t provide more room for more books, the library moved to a new and larger building. At present, the old library is now a non-profit organization, particularly a museum showcasing art displays created by local, regional, and national artists. It even has a plethora of historical photographs on exhibit. Apart from being a museum, the center also serves as a venue for art shows, recitals, musicals, receptions, and much more.
Ada Arts and Heritage Center is a great place to appreciate local artworks and learning about past events through pictures. The East Central University is a nearby campus comprising of 37 buildings established on a 135-acre area. Two miles from the heritage center is a park called Wintersmith Park, which incorporates bridges, trails, courts for various sports, a lake, a public amphitheater, an amusement park, a zoo, and many more. Like the center, the park is listed in the National Register of Historic Places as well. Several hotels also surround Ada Arts, and all are pet-friendly properties. Raintree Inn, which serves a free daily breakfast buffet and offers airport shuttle service. While there is a swimming pool, a bar, and a fitness center at Quality Inn Ada near University, facilities for disabled guests and laundry are housed at Americas Best Value Inn & Suites Ada.
