Malaga Airport (AGP) is officially known as the Malaga Costa del Sol Airport. It’s not the busiest airport in Spain, but it does welcome a total of 19 million passengers as of the year 2018. Compared with other airport facilities, this port is only the 4th busiest in Spain and the first one in the Andalucía region. An average of 60 countries all over the world has flight connections through Malaga Airport, which is located in Malaga, Spain.
Best Time to Visit
The AGP-Malaga Airport currently has three terminals and serves the base of several airlines including Air Europa, Scandinavian Airlines, Norwegian Airlines, Vueling, and Ryanair. Considering that the facility was opened in 1919, the airport serves not just a primary transport hub but also a historical landmark in the area. Combined, all three terminals have 164 check-ins, 26 air bridges, and 48 boarding gates. Long-stay parking is also available with more than 2,500 parking spaces and 66 coaches within the facility. Nearby cities include the Marbella, Artola and Elviria. Marbella in particular is a good spot to visit thanks to its many landmarks like the Old Town, Nueva Andalucia, and the numerous beaches.

Hotel Campanile Malaga Aeropuerto is the closest hotel at a distance of 2.9km and the Hotel Royal Costa, which is just as close at 3.0km. Both hotels have a modern façade and provide airport transport for their clients. Those who prefer to commute however should not be a problem due to the relative closeness of the hotels.
