Aristotelis: Where One of the Greatest Philosophers Made his Name
Located in Central Macedonia in Greece, Aristotelis is a municipality named after the famous philosopher, Aristotle. This is due to the fact the he was born in Stagira, a village within its borders. Its county seat us Ierissos, which is at the east coast of Akti peninsula in Chalkidiki. It was formed during 2011 when a local government reform happened that had 3 municipalities merged to one namely Panagia, Arnaia and Stagira-Akanthos.
