Atlantic City: A City Built on Fun
A resort city in Atlantic County, New Jersey, United States, Atlantic City, NJ inspired the board game Monopoly, hence its nickname Monopoly City. Popularly known for its casinos and beaches, Atlantic City also happens to have a culturally rich heritage. It was where the Miss America pageant was first held in 1921, a strategy employed by the city government to get tourists to stay past Labor Day. It is serviced by the Atlantic City International Airport, although most prefer to fly through the larger Philadelphia International Airport an hour away from the city center.

March to May and June to August are the best months to head on to Atlantic City, New Jersey. The temperatures vary greatly, however, with mornings reported to be humid at an average of 80 degrees and temperatures dropping in the evenings. Tourists will be glad to hear that great deals are up for grabs at any point of the year as hotels are always looking to attract new and returning guests.
