El Edén International Airport - AXM - El Eden
El Eden International Airport is a public airport owned by Aerocivil. It serves the area of Armenia, Colombia as well as the areas of La Tebaida. This airport is 8 miles away from the main city of Armenia. Main routes served in the airport include domestic flights to Medelin and Bogota as well as international flights to Florida in Fort Lauderdale. Back in January 1999, AXM airport suffered from major damages due to an earthquake. It was rebuilt and the runway was extended to be able to accommodate larger aircrafts such as Boeing 737s and 727s, MD-80, Fokker 100 and Airbus 319 and 320.

AXM- El Eden Airport received several other upgrades and improvements after the earthquake. The control tower had its height increased while the terminal building received a new international gate and a new immigration area. Three domestic gates and one international gate serve the airport. Spirit Airlines operates 3 regular scheduled flights from the airport to the United States. Avianca serves flights to Bogota while EastFly serves flights to Medellin-Olaya Herrera. Armenia, Columbia is a great destination to enjoy parks, gardens and several museums.

Matecana International Airport (PEI) serving flights from the city of Pereira is the nearest airport to AXM. It is the alternate airport for several areas such as Armenia, Cartga, Bogota and Manizales.
