Samaná El Catey International Airport is a public aerodrome under the rule of the province of Samaná. This international airport is found five miles from the city of Sánchez, near the small village of El Catey. Samaná El Catey International Airport is also referred to as Prefesor Juan Bosch International Airport and primarily serves El Catey and its neighboring towns in the province. The airport is internationally known by its IATA code AZS.

The international aerodrome was initially constructed as a call to boost tourism in the area. It has been in operation since November 2006 and has been accommodating various international flights from North America and Europe every week.
