Blue Lagoon, Port Antonio, Jamaica
The world-famous Blue Lagoon in Port Antonio, Jamaica is a popular movie location and became famous as the location of the classic Hollywood film, Blue Lagoon. This beautiful lagoon is also known for changing colors depending on the light of day. This pristine natural pool is a perfect spot for swimming and exploring the beautiful surrounding. It is also recognized as the country’s biggest spring lagoon as the cool spring water flows into the warm Caribbean Sea. The color of the clear water changes hues based on the time of the day and can go from green to blue. For a time, this lagoon used to be referred to as the Blue Hole. Visit Boston Bay, another nearby city to port Antonio.

One of the beaches in Jamaica, tourists frequently visit is the newly rehabilitated Boston Bay Beach located in Portland parish. The facilities are also renovated including the surf shop, restaurant, bar, shower area, and changing room. For nature trips, visitors can check out the Blue John Crow Mountains National Park. This tourist destination is the only national park in the country and is home to Blue Mountain Peak, Jamaica’s highest point.
