The city's name was temporarily changed to "Blue Star, Texas" during the Super Bowl in 1993 and 1994 as a support for the Dallas Cowboys. In 1999, the region changed its name to "Green Star, Texas" this time around as a support to the Dallas Stars during the Stanley Cup finals.
