Rusticae started in 1996 in Asturias. At that time, owners Isabel and Carlota were running a small hotel. They were passionate about what they learned in that first step—“that soul lives in every detail, because we need emotion to live and real emotion comes from the little things.” The desire of the two hoteliers to explore more of these little details that make wonderful life experiences have been their drive to expand into a management of boutique hotels. Just within Spain, they have over 192 hotels that they have picked according to their standard of sincere hospitality. Their search for more soulful accommodations in hidden getaways has extended to Latin America where they have 104 hotels.
Aside from this total of almost 300 hotels in two sides of the earth, they also have other hotels in between—11 on the Mediterranean Sea and 25 hotels scattered in European capitals. Since Rusticae’s brand is all about customer satisfaction and pampering, they have made surprises a default element in their services. They have this regular “Mystery Guests” gimmick which never fails to warm the hearts of their guests. They send unexpected yet admired public figures who share their love for keeping people entertained.
