Calicut International Airport, locally known, as Karipur Airport is an international airport located in Kozhikode, India. This airport is the major airport that serves the city and other nearby areas such as Kerala, Malappuram and Karipur. CJJ-Calicut Intl airport is also the current home of the Air India Express and is currently the 12th busiest airport in the country in terms of passenger traffic. The airport lands on the third spot for being the busiest airport in Kerala. It became an international airport in February 2006.

Some of the major airports that operates in CCJ Airport include Air India, Air Arabia, Etihad Airways, Qatar Airways, Oman Air, Saudia and Gulf Air to name a few. Seasonal flights to Medina via Saudia are also served in the airport. Located between two National Highways, the airport is accessible from several locations in Kozhikode. Vythiri is a small town located near CCJ Airport that features several stunning lakes and valley views perfect for a relaxing holiday. Several dining options are also available around the town.

There are no CCJ Airport hotels located in the vicinity of the airport so you’ll have to go out if you plan to spend a considerable time in the area. Head to the Hotel Pushpak, a 3-star hotel located 1 mile away from the airport.
