Best Time to Visit
Courchevel Altiport or CVF Airport is an airfield that has a very short runway measuring 1,762 feet only. The runway has an asphalt surface. Most of the aircrafts that land in the airport are small fixed-wing airports like the Cessna 208 Caravan or helicopters. The airport is considered extreme because there are no go-around procedures for landings, no instrument approach as well as no lighting aids. It also has a difficult approach, the runway has an upward-slope and the ski runs are situated in the adjacent area. Currently only Alpine Airlines is the only company that offers commercial flights to Courchevel Aliport. Nearby areas such as Mouxy, Plancherine, and Saint-Ablan-Leysse also make use of the airport.
