Lien Khuong Airport – DLI Lam Dong
Considered as the biggest airport in the province, Lien Khuong Airport, Lam Dong, Vietnam (DLI) is a public airport owned by Airports Corporation of Vietnam. In 2018, it handled 1.75 million passengers.
Best Time to Visit
The French established Lien Khuong Airport in 1933 with a soil runway. During the late 1950s, American soldiers renovated the airport. In the 1960s and 1970s, several renovations followed to improve and reinforce the structures and facilities. Receiving major improvements are the runway and apron. During the early 1980s, it served scheduled commercial flights with Ho Chi Minh City-Lien Khuong route. However, this service was discontinued due to low passenger traffic. It was in 1992 when passenger flights resumed. Currently, seven (7) airlines are operating at Lien Khuong Airport. These include AirAsia, which has routes to Kuala Lumpur-International; Bamboo Airways, which has routes to Vinh and Hanoi; Jetstar Pacific, which has routes to Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Hue; Korean Air, which has routes to Seoul-Incheon; Thai Vietjet Air, which has routes to Bangkok-Suvarnabhumi; VietJet Air, which has routes to Can Tho, Hai Phong, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Vinh; and Vietnam Airlines, which has routes to Da Nang, Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City. One of the best destinations nearby is Da Lat.
