Best Time to Visit
DTM-Dortmund Airport was originally stationed in Brackel, a suburb, that had served its first ever commercial flight during 1925 through the airline ero Lloyd. All its flights were bound to Paris. It went up to 2,589 annual commercial flights in business year 1927 and 1928. This international airport became a German airbase in World War II, and also by the British Royal Air Force. It was then abandoned and occupied by the British forces in 1960 after the airfield got relocated to Dortmund – Wickede, and continued to the Brish force’s base until the 1990s. With a 2,000-feet asphalt runway, in 2018, it has recorded a total of 2,284,202 passengers, and there is no doubt the few of the many reasons why it has increased year by year is because of what Bolkerstrasse, Hubbelrath, Hoesel and Reuschenberg City has to offer the tourists with.
