The John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center or commonly known as the Hynes Convention Center is situated in Boston.It was constructed in 1988 from a plan by modelers Kallmann, McKinnell, and Wood. It supplanted the John B. Hynes Memorial Auditorium; likewise, a conference hall worked in 1963 during the Massachusetts Turnpike development. The Center is named after previous Boston civic chairman John Hynes and has 193,000 square feet of show space and can suit up to four simultaneous occasions. It highlights 71,600 square feet of meeting space with 38 permanent rooms and a 24,500-square-foot grand dance hall.
