About aha Hotels and Lodges Illovo

A tourism property management company, aha Hotels and Lodges currently has 2,500 rooms contained in over 40 hotels and lodges across 8 countries in Africa. Included in their portfolio are Gauteng, Western Cape, Northern Cape, Free State, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, KwaZulu-Natal, and the North West Province. They also have properties in Botswana, Zambia, and Namibia.

aha Hotels and Lodges is part of the Tourvest Group Ltd, forming Tourvest’s Accommodation and Activities Division. Originally directly managing the properties in their portfolio, Tourvest decided to consolidate all said properties under aha. This paved the way for the incorporation of the Relais Hotels in the group. By 2012, aha Hotels ad Lodges successfully restructured and centralized their system to improve service and increase hotel numbers.

Tourvest’s accumulated experience in the hospitality market ranks an astonishing 250 years with the management still thriving and moving toward improved marketing support to hotel and lodge owners. Using their Tourvest Inbound Operations and the Tourvest Travel Services network, this property management company goes beyond the call of duty by directing guests to aha Hotels.

Good management has earned the chain various awards over the years including Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor, Best African Hotel Group in 2017, Lilizela Tourism Awards, and Africa Tourism Awards.
