Kami, Japan is a town located in Mikata in Hyogo. The town is the product of the merger of the towns of Mikata, Kasumi and Muraoka. The town is located mainly in the central part of the Danín Kaigan Geopark. The region is known to be "One of the Most Beautiful Villages in Japan" and the known birthplace of the famous Tajima Castle known as the Tajiri-go. This cattle is the origin of the Japanese Black wagyu, one of the finest Japanese breeds of beef cattle. The region is sister cities to Suita, Osaka Prefecture, Kadoma, also in Osaka and Amagasaki in Hyogo.
