Waterfront Heritage City was an award given to Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia. The city is the royal capital and the political and economic centre of Terengganu. The city is facing South China Sea and though it has a small land area, it is one of the populous places in Malaysia. Even with the rise of modernization, the city preserved its Malay influences. Intermixed with other cultures, Kuala Terengganu has its own Chinatown. It also takes pride in its mosques, beaches and great flavours. Celebrated in Lake Kenyir, the city welcomes its guests with various and fun-filled activities for all kinds of people all throughout the day. Games, concerts and lots of delectable dishes are readily available and served. Tourists flock the city, based on record, on October and are unlikely to visit in March.

Go around and head on a religious tour visiting Batu Rakit Mosque, Crystal Mosque and the famous Floating Mosque. Sports enthusiast or not, watch a Malaysian football game at the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium. Finally, shop at Kampung Cina, the city’s Chinatown and take great pictures with the Malay version of China.
