Kyoto International Conference Centre, Kyoto, Japan

Kyoto International Conference Centre is a large conference and events venue located at the center of Takaragaika, Kyoto City, Japan, near the Karasuma subway. The conference facility was designed by Sachio Otani with unusual vertical walls and columns and in the hexagonal interior. The total area of the center is about 156,000 square meters that have a capacity of 2,000 people for the large meeting rooms, while 1,000 people can be accommodated in the Annex Hall. What made this facility center famous is because the Main Hall and the Annex Hall are equipped with interpreting facilities of about 12 diverse languages. The ICC Kyoto also has a Japanese garden with a scenic view of the Lake Takaragaike to gather people and make them interact with nature after a long, hectic event.  
Since ICC is strategically located at the heart of the city, there are many means to get into random places, like in Karazuma and Tozai Lines. Nearby are luxurious hotels, like Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Kyoto Premier Sanjo Kamogawa. This hotel features a panoramic view of the Kamogawa River and a picturesque Japanese garden made by Kayuzuki Ishihara. There's an on-site restaurant that serves Japanese and French cuisines and a private courtyard in some rooms. The hotel is also closer to Samurai Kembu Kyoto, a Japanese traditional swordplay theater. Tourists will have the opportunity to have a full-scale experience with lessons and demonstrations about Samurai. Another tourist destination is the Kyoto International Manga Museum, which collects about 300,000 items of magazines and postwar rental books, including Japan's first children's manga called Shinen Pakku that was created in 1907. The Grand Prince Hotel Kyoto is also a great choice when in Kyoto, which is just a short stroll from the conference center.
