Humberto Delgado Airport is an international airport also known as Lisbon Airport and Portela Airport. It is located just 7 km from the city of Lisbon, Portugal. The airport with LIS code is the 18th largest airport in the whole of Europe in terms of passengers. In 2018, the airport served almost 29 million passengers. This facility is considered Europe’s major hub going to Brazil, South America, and Africa. Recently, the government has unveiled a 1.1 Billion Euro plan that aims to expand the airport as well as create a second one in a nearby city. It is projected to handle 50 million passengers after the project completion.
