Lloyd Noble Center in Norman, Oklahoma is a multipurpose arena with a seating capacity of 11,562. Inaugurated in 1975, it is home to the men’s and women’s basketball teams of the University of Oklahoma. It was named after Samuel Lloyd Noble, an oilman and philanthropist who is renowned for establishing Noble Corp. and Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation.
There are a lot of fun things to do in the area, such as visiting the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame (IGHOF) in Oklahoma City. It honors the achievements and contributions of the greatest authorities, coaches, and competitors in artistic gymnastics in the world. The current facility, housed inside Science Museum Oklahoma, was established by Glenn Sundby in 1986. Another interesting, nearby site to visit is Lake Thunderbird State Park in Norman. Offering access to Lake Thunderbird, it has 9 boat ramps, 2 marinas, and a swimming area. It also has more than 200 RV parking sites, primitive campsites, restrooms, and a seasonal restaurant. Tourists should also visit the Museum of Osteology, which was inaugurated in 2010. It has more than 350 animal species skeletons on display and 700 other specimens part of the collection but not on display, making it the biggest private museum dedicated to osteology.
