The Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center is owned by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln that featured two-screen theaters, located in Lincoln. It commonly shows various independent films, international cinema, and interesting documentaries in the US. The construction began around June 2001 for having accumulated a $3.5 million donation and it opened as soon as 2003. This media arts center also serves as a facility for class lectures in the Film Studies and Fine and Performing Arts programs. The Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center is the first university that owns a state-of-the-art digital projector and this projector can also be utilized by the Texas Instruments DLP Technology.
