Owned by the City of Jackson, McKeller-Sipes Regional Airport is situated in the west area of the central business district of Jackson, Tennessee. The airport is for public use of general aviation. MKL airport is originally named after Kenneth Douglas McKeller, a US senator from Tennessee in the early 1930s. It was in the 1970s when the name of the airport was changed to McKeller-Sipes Regional Airport in honor of Major Robert Bay Sipes.
