Founded in 1986, Kamat Hotels India Ltd. is a renowned hospitality group that is a part of the greater Kamat Group, which has been around for more than 80 years. Led by Indian hotelier and environmentalist Dr. Vithal Venkatesh Kamat, who is the son of late founder Venkatesh Krishna Kamat, the company has developed eight luxury hotels throughout the country: The Orchid Hotel Mumbai, The Orchid Hotel Pune, The Orchid Hotel Bhubaneswar, Fort JadhavGADH, Mahodadhi Palace, Lotus Beach Resort Dapoli, Lotus Beach Resort Goa, and Lotus Eco Beach Resort Konark.
