Nanjo (Fukui): A Town of Charming Villages
Nanjo was once a town found in the district of Nanjo in Fukui Prefecture, Japan. The settlement combined with the village of Kono and the town of Imajo from the Nanjo District in 2005 to form the town of Minamiechizen. Since then, the Nanjo is no longer considered as an independent municipality. Each village inside the Nanjo area has unique qualities, and many of the locals from a particular townlet has similar surnames.
Best Time to Visit
Nanjo, JPN experiences warm weathers, wet summers, and chilly winters with heavy snowfall. So, the best seasons to visit the town is during spring (March to May) and fall (September to November). But for those who are not a fan of rain, fall might not be the best choice as rainfall occurs during this season and can last for two weeks per month.
