Oxford: Enjoying the Riverfront Town in Maryland
The town of Oxford, Maryland, is located on the southern bank of the river of Tred Avon, making it a waterfront residential area. It was formerly used as a colonial part in Talbot County and is now considered among the oldest towns in the state. Although the town was officially founded in 1683, settlers in the area already came between 1666 and 1668 and first appeared on a map in 1670.
