AVANI Hotels & Resorts is a hotel and resort chain headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand. The brand’s operations are all over 23 properties across 15 countries. Most of the locations covered by this company are still in Thailand due to the influx of tourist in the country. The hotel and resort chain was launched in 2012 in Benota, courtesy of the hospitality chain it’s a part of (Minor Hotels). Before the launch of AVANI, Minor Hotels has already acquired 80% stake in Serendib Leisure Kalutarawhich is now known as AVANI Kalutara Resort. That’s where AVANI was born into the industry.
AVANI has since become an award-winning hotel chain in its own right. In 2015, it was Mozambique’s Leading Hotel, Indian Ocean’s Leading New Resort, and Best Luxury Design Hotel at World Luxury Hotel. In 2016, AVANI was one of Asia’s Top Emerging Hotels by Now Travel Asia. A year after that, it was recognized as an Extraordinary Place for Unique Spa Experiences by Forbes. With that much recognition, the brand ensures they have solid Corporate Social Responsibility. They are a member of the Heinecke Foundation—awarding scholarships to students, participates in the Earth Hour events to support local charities, and supports the environment by not using plastic straws.
