Pensacola International Airport is formerly called Pensacola Gulf Coast Regional Airport and Pensacola Regional Airport. It is found in the Northeast side of the central business district of Pensacola, Florida. Despite being called an international airport, PNS doesn't have international flights. However, chartered international flights are common. The airport is part of the top airports in Northern Florida and the second largest in terms of the number of passengers. The aviation administration categorized the airport as a small commercial service hub. The airport is next to the Jacksonville airport. According to statistics, the airport has served more than a million passengers in 2018.

PNS-Pensacola International Airport was opened in 1935. It has become a US Navy training facility for five years. They added a control tower and a runaway. A modern terminal was built in the early ’50s. After twenty years, several big airlines have been serving the city including Delta and Continental. In 2011, the name of the facility was permanently changed to Pensacola International Airport. The airport is also serving the cities of Foley and Gasque.
