Gimhae International Airport - PUS Gimhae
Gimhae International Airport or most popularly known as Gimhae Airport is situated in the western part of Busan, South Korea that is named after the nearby historic city of Gimhae. The airport was opened in 1976 with airport code of PUS. Since the opening of its new international terminal last 2007, Gimhae International Airport has been the main center of Air Busan. The airport has 18L/36R runway that was solely use for military purpose of Gimhae Air Base, but because of the rising of transfers, there has been a plan of major expansion to increase the number of runway and terminal facilities that set to start this 2021 with target completion on 2026.

Gimhae International Airport is Busan’s commercial and military airport is the Korea’s most important airport in terms of number of passenger after Jeju, Incheon and Gimpo. It has a separate International and Domestic terminals with the most basic facilities such as restaurants, duty free shops, phone rental and transportation. It serves 108 domestic and international destinations on 31 airlines everyday with curfew hours between 11PM and 6AM preventing aircrafts from taking off or landing.
