San Salvo: Picturesque Industrial Town
San Salvo, Italy is located in Chieti Province in the region of Abruzzo. It is known to be the last town which is part of the region before the Adriatic coast and Molise Region. There are two urban areas that composed San Salvo. One is the main city itself and then the Marina. The latter area is known to have a long sandy beach and crystal blue waters. In the 11th century, it was considered the center of the Benedictine monastery that was later destroyed after a few centuries. The most important archeological spot near the area is Vecchia Fontana which is known Roman ruins.

The most popular festival happens in April. The town is hosting the San Vital Festival. It is considered a traditional festival to remember the Saint Vitale celebration. People are bringing wheat flours to the church. There is also a folkloristic procession that includes tractors. It is considered the peak season for San Salvo hotels.
