South Bend International Airport – SBN South Bend
Three miles north of South Bend in St. Joseph County, Indiana is the South Bend International Airport. It is Indiana’s third busiest airport in terms of passenger traffic and was call a primary commercial service facility from 2015 to 2019 by the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems.
Best Time to Visit
The South Bend International Airport covers 890 hectares of land and has three asphalt runways. It also has nine gates in total, seven of them has jet ways while the remaining two are ground level. The airport’s terminal has the amenities that will provide every passenger’s needs. There is a café and bar that serves fresh and local foods as well as delicious local brews. You can grab your last minute snacks or souvenir items in the gift shops located at the main terminal. For passengers who brought their pets with them, South Bend International Airport also has a pet relief area in Gate 4 where the owners and pets can have some fresh air. A nursing mother’s room located at Gate 7 also allows travelling mothers to have a comfortable space to nurse and pump. Lakeside and New Buffalo are just few of the cities you can visit near the airport.

The La Quinta Hotel by Wyndham and Sleep Inn are just a few steps away from the airport. Both offers free breakfast. There are also more SBN South Bend hotels around the area, which that are close to some tourist spots. Aloft South Bend and DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel are just some of them.
