It is the main hub for several airlines such as Shanghai Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, Spring Airlines and Juneyao Airlines. SHA-Hongqiao Intl. is the 7th busiest airport in China and hosted more than 40.5 million passengers in 2016.
Best Time to Visit
There are two terminals in Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport. Terminal 1 is the old Shanghai Hongqiao Airport east of Terminal 2. Subway lines and free inter-shuttle buses connect these terminals, 20 minutes apart from each other. Building A & Building B makes up Terminal 1 were Building B exclusively for Spring Airlines. Among the nearest cities surrounding SHA include Pengpu, Luchaogang and Shanghai.
