Siegburg: For Art and History Sights
Siegerland Airport (SGE) is an hour drive from the traditional German town in the North Rhine-Westphalia called Siegburg, Germany. The Agger and Sieg rivers run through the entire town. Other major and more visited cities such as Bonn and Cologne are just several minutes away. The town’s long-standing history dates as far back as the early 10th century when a monastery was built on the area and the settlement grew from there on. Pottery is the leading industry in town.
Best Time to Visit
Siegburg only has a short month when it is warm in town. Otherwise, the weather is chill and the temperature is cold that may even drop below zero especially during the winter. The many museums, historical and cultural landmarks, and other heritage sites are perfect to visit during the middle of the year. The months of May to September have favorable weather in which you can freely explore the town even when just walking. Siegburg hotels are pricey during these times though as it is peak season.
