Sultan Mahmud Airport- TGG
Located in the district of Kuala Nerusin the sultanate of Terengganu, Sultan Mahmud Airport is a public-use airport, which is owned by the Government of Malaysia. The airfield serves the city of Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia, the administrative capital andcentral economic hub of the sultanate. Its name was derived from Almarhum Sultan Mahmud Al-MuktafiBillah Shah IbniAlmarhum Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah, the 16th Sultan of the sultanate from 1979 to 1998. Sultan Mahmud Airport is recognized by its International Air Transport Association (IATA) location identifier of TGG and International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) location identifier of WMKN.
Best Time to Visit
The airfield resides at an altitude of six meters above the mean sea level and has only one asphalt-paved runway designated as 04/22 and spans a length of 3,480 meters. The only passenger terminal in the airfield is capable of handling two million travelers annually. In fact, Sultan Mahmud Airport accommodated a total of 943,660 passengers in 2017, on top of almost 11,500 aircraft movements. Four airlines currently flight to the aerodrome and connect it to Kuala Lumpur and Subang. While in the area, make sure to enjoy the sights at Pulau Redang and Redang Island.

While the TGG airport is yet to feature an in-house hotel, guests can easily walk to the TH Hotel Convention Centre Terengganu, and the Anjung Pantai Seberang, which are about five minutes away from the airfield.
