Cape May Airport with code WWD is located at Cape May, New Jersey. It is also called as Cape May County Airport. The public-use airport is part of the Lower Township. The airport is currently owned by Delaware River and Bay Authority. The said airport is about 7km from Wildwood. The airport is also near the Middle Township. According to the National Plan of Integrated Airport System categorized it as a general aviation facility. The first hangar is the one containing the Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum which contains collection from the Second World War. It was named after the former name of the airport.

The airport facility was built in 1941. It was named as NAS Rio Grande because of its location. However, the name was changed because it is confused with Rio Grande Texas. It was given the name NAS Wildwood. After the Second World War, the facility is an excess and it was turned over to the local government. Galloway and Marmora are two cities that are surrounded by the airport.
