Yellowstone Airport is a public airport owned by the state of Montana. It is situated 1.3 miles away from the central district of the West Yellowstone town in Gallatin County, Montana. Commercial airline service is available at the airport only from June to September and is served by the Delta Connections. Scheduled airline service at the airport is funded by the Essential Air Service program. WYS-Yellowstone Airport is classified by the National Plan of Integrated Airports System as a non-primary commercial service airport for 2011-2015.

It is composed of canyons, lakes, mountain ranges, and rivers. A wide range of species can also be found including some that are endangered.
