About Via Inn Hotel Chain Yoshikawa
Via Inn is an affordable and dependable Japanese chain of no-frills business hotels with 26 locations across the nation. The chain managed by JR West is all found within five minutes of major railway stations mainly in Nagoya, Tokyo, and Chugoku, Hokuriku, and the Kansai regions. All of them are strategically located for both business and sightseeing.
Two new Via Inn hotels targeted at different traveling budgets are slated to open on the southern part of Kyoto Station this 2019. With 900 total rooms, these properties will rise from a prime location, which is only within a two-minute walk from Hachijoguchi Exit of Kyoto Station. One of them is an addition to the already renowned Via Inn budget chain of business hotels while the adjoining building will house a new upscale brand. The economy hotel will feature 470 rooms in 10 stories while the upscale brand will come with 430 rooms in 9 stories.
With the two new hotels along with the five-star Granvia Hotel, JR West hopes to meet the growing demand for accommodation in Kyoto amidst a spike in the number of overseas tourists. They are both designed to accommodate foreign and domestic travelers visiting Kyoto either for leisure or on business.
