A public and military international airport, Zadar Airport, Zemunik Donji, Croatia (ZAD), is operated by Zadar Airport Ltd. Since 1936, it has been providing scheduled flights through Ala Littoria. It has a strategic location with easy access to other towns and key destinations in the country.

What is interesting about Zadar Airport is that it is one of the few airports in the world where the taxiway used to cross a public road. It was only in 2010 when the public road was closed. In the past, the airport was used as a base for InterCockpit, a flight school of Lufthansa. Currently, it serves as a Croatian Air Force training base. It also serves as a base of Ryanair. Zadar Airport has two (2) runways, measuring 8,202-foot long and 6,562-foot long, respectively. 21 airlines are operating in the airport. These include Air Serbia, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Chair Airlines, Condor, Croatia Airlines, easyJet, Eurowings, Iberia Express, Jet2.com, Lauda, Lufthansa, Luxair, LOT Polish Airlines, Neos, Norwegian Air Shuttle, Ryanair, Scandinavian Airlines, Titan Airways, Transavia, and Vueling. Considered as one of the busiest airports in the region, it has served 603,819 passengers in 2018. As of 2015, the destination countries with the biggest traffic include Germany, France, Great Britain, Belgium, and Sweden. Popular cities nearby include Potege, Grebastica, and Sibenik.
