Aracena – It’s a Ham of a City
Dubbed as Andalucia’s First Ever Tourist Municipality, Aracena, Spain is actually more popular for the presence of Museo del Jamon or “Ham Museum”. That’s right – this city has a museum dedicated to ham – which is a reason enough for people to visit the place. The city can be reached by car from Seville with a travel time of an hour and a half. You can also take any of the buses available.
Best Time to Visit
Best time to book Aracena, Spain hotels would be on the months of January, February, and October. Accommodation prices are expensive during these months though so make sure book months in advance if possible. Of course, you can always visit during the off-peak season of May onwards to save on the cost of accommodation. If you’re there specifically for the ham though – make sure you book your ticket for the 3rd weekend of October.
