Neal Kocurek Memorial Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas is a multipurpose convention center inaugurated in 1992. Dedicated in 2004, it was named after Dr. W. Neal Kocurek, a civic leader. It serves home to the Texas Rollergirls. It is also the home base of the popular annual event celebrating film, music, and technology, South by Southwest. 

Fun things to do in the area include visiting Elisabet Ney Museum. Housed in the old studio of Elisabet Ney, a sculptor, it showcases her life and works. On display is a permanent collection of Ney’s personal memorabilia and portrait busts. Included in the National Register of Historic Places in 1972, it is part of the Historic Artists’ Homes and Studios program. Tourists should also visit Hamilton Pool Preserve in Dripping Springs. It is a natural pool that resulted from the collapse of the dome of an underground river due to massive erosion. As a protected natural habitat, the water is not chemically treated. Another interesting, nearby site to visit is O. Henry House Museum in San Antonio. It was named after William Sydney Porter, an American writer famous as O. Henry. It served as his home in 1885. There are a lot of hotels around the convention center. One of the most prominent hotels in the area is the Four Seasons Hotel Austin. It has 294 spacious guest rooms and an award-winning spa. Its own restaurant, Ciclo, offers an exciting menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. Another known hotel in the area is Kimpton Hotel Van Zandt, located just 0.14 miles away.
