Bardez: Exploring the Beauty of the “Twelve Country”
Bardez or Bardes is a region located in the northern part of the Goa State, India. The region’s name was given by the Saraswat Brahmin immigrants. Bardez comes from the two words, “Bara” means twelve and “Desh” means country. The country in its name refers to the 12 territorial borders of the region. The region’s gateway is through Goa - Dabolim Airport (GOI).

It is not advisable to visit around July because of the rain season.
