Cairo International Airport – CAI Cairo
Cairo International Airport is located in Cairo, Egypt. This major airport was built to replace Heliopolis Airport, one of the older airports in Egypt, which is situated in the east of Cairo. CAI-Cairo has four terminals including Terminals 1, 2, and 3 as well as the Hajj Terminal, which serves as a seasonal terminal. The three terminals are linked together while Terminals 2, 3, and the AirMall are all connected via an air bridge.
Best Time to Visit
In 2011, Egypt’s Prime Minister inaugurated the Seasonal Flights Terminal (ST) with EgyptAir running daily flights to Medina. The Hajj routes of EgyptAir were all eventually transferred to ST in Terminal 3 while Saudia Hajj flights are still in Terminal 1. This major airport can accommodate 3.2 million visitors with seven gates, and 27 check-in areas, a common gate, and single security. Cairo International Airport severs the people of Cairo, Giza, Tirsa, and other nearby cities.
