Capvern: A Small French Town Just Minutes to Interesting Sights
Located in the Region of Occitanie, Capvern, France belongs to the Hautes-Pyrenees Department. This small french town is in the southern part of France. Its entire region is surrounded with land. Capvern itself may not have an impressive number of attractions, but it has easy access to interesting landmarks of the neighboring communes. To get to Capvern quickly, many tourists take advantage of the Tarbes-Lourdes-Pyrenees Airport (LDE), which is only 17 miles away.
Best Time to Visit
Exploring Capvern and its nearby areas are best done on a fine weather. The summer season, from June to September, is the most ideal time to experience the sights and sounds of the town. Summers in the town are comfortable but it could get really cold during the winter season. It may not be ideal to book your preferred Capvern France accommodation on November until March if not a fan of the cold season.
What to Do & Area Attractions
Only an hour and a half drive from Capvern, tourists can get to Mauvezin for the Château de Mauvezin. This is an ancient castle which was recently restored. If not, Plateau de Lannemezan will make an unforgettable nature adventure. It is located less than 8 miles from Capvern. Budget hotels are available in the area, such as Hôtel Le Square. Although a small property, the hotel has well-furnished rooms with private bathroom. Tourists are served with breakfast every morning, too. Located near Tarbes and a short drive to attractions, City Résidence Termalia is another good option. The hotel even provides guests with free access to the nearby wellness center.
