Erechim Airport – ERM Airport
Erechim Airport is a public airport located in Erechim, Brazil, and serving the same. Erechim is the second most populous municipality in the region, second to Passo Fundo. The airport, or ERM Airport, is operated by the country’s department of aviation, DAP. It is also ideally located only 1 mile from the city’s downtown area.

ERM-Erechim Airport sits on an elevation of 2,498 feet above mean sea level. The runway has an asphalt surface and designated 13/31. It measures 4,199 feet long and features an asphalt surface. In 2010, the airport went through a major renovation which included the terminal building as well as the runway. However, there are no scheduled flights operating at the airport as of this time. Nearby areas such as Piratuba, Paulo Bento, and Barao de Cotegipe would have benefitted from the services the airport can offer.

There are several hotels to stay in when in Erechim. There are also hotels conveniently located near the airport. One such hotel is Hotel Ibis Erechim. It is a simple but sophisticated hotel offering minimalist themed rooms. Hayer Hotel is a more modern hotel located in downtown Erechim. Rooms are clean, simple, with major use of the white color for a clean and serene feel. The Blue Open Hotel is also another simple but contemporary hotel offering clean and comfortable beds with the basic amenities.
Since Erechim Airport hasn’t had any commercial flights since 2014, the nearest airports that residents and visitors can go to are Chapeco Airport and Lauro Kurtz Airport, both options of which are an hour away.
