Genazzano: A Modest Historical and Religious Hill Town
Upon a hill is a town called Genazzano, Italy. It is a popular pilgrim site as it houses the original Our Lady of Good Counsel fresco, which is believed by many to be miraculous. Rome is just an hour's drive away; hence, the town is accessible through flights to and from Leonardo da Vinci International Airport (FCO). The town is also well-known as a vacation resort town.
Best Time to Visit
At Genazzano, you will find the sun shining brightly, especially during the middle of the year, from June to August. Though these months have less chance of rain, they have a higher tourist in flux, and thus, Genazzano IT hotels are pricier. Every April, a feast in honor of the Our Lady of Good Counsel is held in town.
