Gibraltar: Where There is A Treasure Trove of Surprises
Sitting on the tip of Spain’s south coast, Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory and headland. Its landscape is reigned over by the famous Rock of Gibraltar, a 426m-high limestone ridge located just adjacent to a populous town area. Its strategic location makes it near both Europe and Africa.
Best Time to Visit
A visit to Gibraltar in spring or autumn will prove pleasurable as the place enjoys temperatures that are warm yet comfortable. Although July to September is the hottest period, these months are still tolerable because of the presence of cool sea breezes. The Gibraltar National Day is commemorated on September 10th and is a day brimming with fun and exciting events and it may be hard to get good accommodations due to a high demand. Swarms of tourists arrive in January and February, months when Gibraltar hotels are most expensive while those traveling to Gibraltar in December will find it the least expensive month.
