Nuuk Airport - GOH
Nuuk Airport is a public airport that serves the area of Nuuk, Greenland and its nearby regions. It is operated by the Greenland Airport Authority and is the hub of Air Greenland Airlines. Sitting 86 meters above mean sea level, Nuuk Airport is also the technical base of the flag carrier airline of the country. It links the region to several towns located in the southwestern and western regions of Greenland. The airport also serves flights to Kangerlussuaq Airport, one of the premier hubs for air travel in Greenland.
Best Time to Visit
GOH Airport one of the six international airports in the region but is only limited to areas in Greenland and Iceland. The airport is the current home of the Beechcraft King Air B200 and is mostly used for air ambulance flights as well as on demand and occasional charter flights. Its runway was expanded and its airport terminal was leveled to compensate for the scarp located to the west. Nuuk is the nearest point of interest and is loved for its waterfalls, icebergs and areas for humpback whale watching. Several dining options can be also enjoyed in this small town.
