Hana Airport is a public airport in Hana, Hawaii that caters regional flights in the region. Located in the eastern shores of the island of Maui, it officially opened back in November 1950. HNM Airport is one of the major transportation facilities in the region for on demand air taxis and general aviation. A steady increase in passenger traffic was observed in the airport thus, leading to the construction of a taxiway parallel to its current runway.
